Rail Baltica Ülemiste is pleased to invite KAB members to participate in the architectural competition for the Rail Baltica Ülemiste joint terminal and the surrounding public urban space – a total of 10 ha – located in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.

The Ülemiste Joint Terminal is where Rail Baltica – a completely new railway line in the European rail network and part of the TEN-T Northern Sea-Baltic Corridor – begins. A priority infrastructure project in the EU, Rail Baltica and the Ülemiste Terminal as its gateway to the European rail network, represents an exceptional opportunity and challenge for the brightest minds in architecture to come up with a stellar solution on the outskirts of the city of Tallinn, the developing district of Ülemiste.

This is an open call to all architects and architectural firms in the EU who want to participate in the design of this significant landmark in Tallinn. The technical design of the terminal will be agreed with the winner of the competition.
